''A good year'' is a romantic comedy-drama directed by Ridley Scott, based on the novel by Peter Mayle.
Set in the pictures vineyards of Provence, the film stars Russell Crowe as Max Skinner, a London banker who inherits his late uncle's wine estate. Intent on selling it, Max soon finds himself drawn to the charm of French country life - and to a woman Marion Cotillard as Fanny Chenal who challenges his old ways.
